Accordionist and composer, extremely eclectic, fond of Mediterranean and contemporary sounds; his musical interests space from classical repertory to argentine tango with jazz contaminations.
Graduated in accordion at “G. Rossini” of Pesaro with Sergio Scappini, and band instrumentation at “G. B. Martini” of Bologna with prof. Roger Mazzoncini.
He studies composition with Filippo Maria Caramazza, Gianpaolo Luppi and M° Adriano Guarnieri at the conservatoires “G. Rossini” and “G. B. Martini”, and he has frequented courses of jazz and improvisation with Paolo Birro, Tommaso Lama, Paolo Ghetti e Stefano Zenni.
He’s Graduated in arts and philosophy at Bologna University (course degree DAMS Music) with a thesis on the history of modern and contemporary music : “Accordion instrument of 900”.
He participates in the international course of improvement city of Stresa "The organistic literature and contemporary literature of the Accordion" with Giovanna Franzoni, Sergio Scappini and Emanuele Spantaconi.
He attends at the jazz school of Cesena (Forlì) the course of technique and theory of jazz improvisation and the seminaries of Arceviajazz in Arcevia (Ancona).
Winner in many national and international accordion manifestations, he receives from E.N.A.M. (for artistic merits), the prize “Federico II di Svevia” and two honour mentions: in Castrocaro Terme (Fc) “Best graduated 2001” and in Paris “TIM” (International Music Trophy).
Teacher during Veneto Jazz at the Workshop on the “Ecletticità della Fisarmonica” he develops didactic activity, like member of jury in national musical contests and a great activity concertistica in festival, national and international reviews in Italy, Albany, Canada, France Greece and Switzerland on many theaters, foundations as the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
He participates at CAMPUS – International Festival of Contemporary Music in Sermoneta (Latina) and collaborates with M° Adriano Guarnieri and The Prof. Annamaria Morini for the execution of not edit compositions at the Bologna festival “Oltre il Contemporaneo.” He plays for BLUSAT2000 (Vatican radio satellite), Radio Rai3 and for RAI and Mediaset and for theatrical shows.
He recorders “TARABUK” dialogue between accordion and contrabass for Velut Luna, music and arrangements by Marco Lo Russo and Tiziano Zanotti;
for RAI TRADE “Mediterranean Accordion” - Marco Lo Russo quartett (accordino,piano, doublebass and drums);
for the Universo as sideman in “Concha Bonita” Fantasy Comedy in music of Nicola Piovani and Alfredo Arias;
for RAI TRADE as sideman for the original soundtrack of Film Tv “Matilde”-RAI composed and orchestrated by Nicola Piovani;
and for Parole e Musica as sideman on “Scivola Via” of Resto Mancha.
